This applet allows you to define your portfolio and calculates gains and loses. It also allows you to look at a lot of financial indicators, for each stock.
It comes pre-installed in Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04.
Just by right click on the panel and select "Add to Panel".

Install Google Gadgets, and add the "Stocks gadgets". It's nice application to track stocks and market indexes. It also displays minimal stock data, when you click on a selected stock.Both tools are very easy to use and setup.
